Mahler’s Fifth

Under the baton of new Music Director Timothy Myers, the Festival Orchestra tackles Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 5 and a world premiere cello concerto by composer Nathalie Joachim with guest soloist Seth Parker Woods.

Piccolo Spoleto – L’Organo Performance, FREE

The Chapel at Bishop Gadsden will be hosting part of the L'Organo performance series of Piccolo Spoleto 2024, featuring organ and violin. The performance will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, June 1, and will last approximately 50 minutes. Violinist Sarah Berger teaches at Opal Music Studio in Alexandria and serves as Principal Second Violin in the Fairfax Symphony. She holds degrees from Mannes School of Music and Eastman. Organist John Nothaft is Director of Music Ministries at Lewinsville Presbyterian Church in McLean, VA. He holds degrees from Indiana U and Eastman
