Pirates usually bring thoughts of plunder, peg-legs, and parrots. But are those stories really true? During the Golden Age of Piracy numerous pirates lurked off the east coast creating mayhem on the high seas. Charleston has a personal history with several pirates of the time, some were born here and some died here.
